Electromagnetic shielding effectiveness(SE) is a key indicator for measuring a material's ability to attenuate electromagnetic waves, defined as the decibel value (dB) of the ratio of incident power to transmitted power. The SE evaluation of PI gold-plated film is usually carried out using a vector network analyzer (VNA), which measures the reflectivity (R), absorptivity (A), and transmittance (T) of the material at different frequencies, and calculates the SE value comprehensively.
Experimental design: Select PI gold-plated film samples, set multiple frequency points (such as 10MHz to 3GHz), and measure their SE values using VNA. Meanwhile, parallel experiments were conducted under the same conditions to compare traditional metal shielding materials such as copper plates.
Data comparison: The experimental results show that,PI gold-plated filmThe SE value in the frequency range of 10MHz to 3GHz is over 70dB, significantly better than the average SE value of traditional copper plates (about 50dB). This indicates that the PI gold-plated film has superior electromagnetic shielding performance in the high frequency range.
According to national standards such as GB/T 30142-2013 "Measurement method for shielding effectiveness of planar electromagnetic shielding materials",Advanced Institute (Shenzhen) Technology Co., LtdA series of experiments were conducted. In the experiment, a vector network analyzer was used to scan and test the PI gold plating film in the frequency range of 30MHz to 3GHz.
