    Vacuum aluminum plated filmIt is to coat a layer of aluminum on an aluminum plated film, so that its surface is coated with a layer of metal, which has functions such as corrosion resistance, moisture resistance, and oxidation resistance.

This film is commonly used for plastic flexible packaging and has good stiffness, softness, and impact resistance. Suitable for packaging with high cost requirements, such as glass bottles and plastic bottles.

1、 Overview

There are two main methods for producing aluminum film: one is to electroplate an aluminum layer on PET resin, and the other is to electroplate an aluminum layer on PET resin. However, from a development perspective, electroplating aluminum layer is not the ultimate production method. Therefore, in order to achieve better production performance, people have adopted two methods.

One method is to metalize the aluminum layer and then electroplate the aluminum layer; Another method is to electroplate an aluminum layer on PET resin. In the second scenario, PET resin is made into PET resin with an aluminum plating layer.

Aluminum plated film has been used as a flexible packaging material for nearly a century.

2、 Substrate selection

1. Perform surface treatment according to the requirements of the substrate,metalized filmBefore use, surface pretreatment should be carried out to ensure that the aluminum plating layer is firmly bonded to the substrate and has good adhesion;

2. Select suitable substrates according to usage requirements, such as plastic bottles (aluminum plated inside), glass bottles (aluminum plated outside), beverage bottles (aluminum plated outside), etc;

3. Choose suitable substrates according to the requirements of different uses, such as aluminum foil/plastic composite film, which can be used for food and cosmetics;

4. Choose the appropriate thickness of the aluminum layer according to different purposes, generally ranging from 0.08-0.05mm;

5. Choose suitable packaging film according to the requirements of different uses, such as food packaging, drug packaging, etc;

6. Choose the appropriate printing method according to your needs.

3、 Aluminum plating process

In order to achieve aluminum plating on the surface of plastic packaging film, there are the following processes:

1. Using aluminum powder as a reducing agent, heating and high-speed rotation under vacuum to disperse the aluminum powder on the plastic film;

2. After the aluminum powder is completely dispersed, pre plating treatment is carried out, mainly to remove the oxide scale, oil, etc. on the surface of the plastic film;

3. After pre plating treatment, the plastic film is placed in a vacuum furnace and heated to aluminum plating. At a certain temperature, its surface is uniformly coated with a layer of metallic aluminum;

4. The aluminum plated film after heating is dried at a certain temperature;

5. Finally, apply the aluminum layer evenly onto the surface of the plastic film.

4、 Aluminum plating effect

Aluminum plated film can be a single layer or multiple layers, with a thickness ranging from 0.5 mm to 60 mm. The thicker the thickness, the thicker the aluminum plating layer. The surface quality of aluminum plated film should be at a good level.

Polyester film is made of aluminum foil, and attention should be paid to its heat resistance. Additionally, it is important to note that:

1. The film should be flat and smooth;

2. The aluminum layer cannot be too thick, otherwise it will affect its anti oxidation effect;

3. The drying temperature of aluminum plated film should not be too high, otherwise it will affect its barrier properties.

5、 Precautions

2. During the vacuum aluminum plating process, it is necessary to strictly control the process conditions to ensure the thickness of the coating. In addition, it is necessary to control parameters such as temperature and pressure well;

3. In order to ensure the quality of vacuum aluminum plating, the film material must be pre treated before vacuum aluminum plating to remove residual air and impurities inside the film.

4. Before packaging, vacuum aluminum plated film needs to be subjected to high temperature and high humidity treatment to eliminate residual moisture and oxygen inside the film;

5. When vacuum aluminum plating, please strictly control the parameters.
