Research background
Electromagnetic wave absorbing materialsHas extremely high electromagnetic energy loss efficiency. With the vigorous development of nanotechnology, nanomaterials have demonstrated many advanced electromagnetic functions, including radiation protection and anti radar stealth. Fine control of the microstructure of nanomaterials has become an attractive research direction for improving electromagnetic performance and multifunctionality. By designing it as a core-shell structure with different dimensions, the comprehensive effects of interface polarization, conductive network, magnetic coupling, etc. can significantly improve the electromagnetic wave absorption performance.
Introduction to Achievements
Professor Che Renchao's team from Fudan University's Advanced Materials Laboratory is in Adv Mater. published a review titled "Dimensional Design and Core Shell Engineering of Nanomaterials for Electromagnetic Wave Absorption". This review provides an overview of the progress in low dimensional core-shell electromagnetic wave absorbing materials and discusses some of the most notable examples. Summarized key derived information on dimension design, structural engineering, performance, and structure function relationships. Other applications were also introduced, such as antioxidant and self-cleaning functions. Finally, the expectations and future challenges of this rapidly expanding field were discussed. The first author of this paper is Wu Zhengchen, a graduate student at Fudan University, and the corresponding author is Professor Renchao Che from Fudan University.
