Therefore, our salesperson suggested that they use single-sided back adhesive, and stick the prepared adhesive side of the thermal conductive silicone film on the PCB board and the other side on the shell.

The benefits of backing thermal conductive silicone sheets with adhesive
It can be used to fix the radiator without the need for additional design of fixing structures, such as not locking screws, reducing customer costs. Ensure that the contact surface of the heat sink (radiator) is adhered to the surface of the heat source. When there is relative sliding between the heat sink or the housing during assembly, the thermal conductive silicone sheet will not move and cause positional displacement, playing a fixing role. And it can reduce the thermal resistance caused by air gaps. For example, without locking screws, reducing customer costs.
Disadvantages of using thermal conductive silicone sheet for backing adhesive
Under the same conditions, the thermal conductivity will decrease, and the effect of double-sided back effect on thermal conductivity is more significant. As mentioned above, giving high thermal conductivity silicone film, whether it is single-sided or double-sided adhesive, will result in a decrease in thermal conductivity. However, while ensuring the same thermal conductivity, customer costs will increase.
