Application of Thermal Conductive Silicon Film for Power Electronic Heat Dissipation

Thermal conductive silicone filmIt is a high-performance elastic insulation material based on a special thin film, mainly installed at the gap between the heating interface and its components to serve as a thermal conductive medium. The power electronics are composed of multiple components such as the power main chip, transformer, MOS tube, PCB board, resistor and capacitor. During operation, they emit a large amount of heat, and it is necessary to choose the corresponding thermal interface material for thermal conduction to reduce heat and maintain the normal operation of the product.
1. Thermal conductive silicone film for transformer heat dissipation
Transformers generate a large amount of heat while converting electrical energy, and these components are installed on the PCB board in a plug-in form. Some choose to use thermal conductive silicone film to dissipate heat between the PCB board and the shell, while others use thermal conductive silicone film to transfer the temperature of the components to the heat sink. Although the chosen thermal conductive material is different, the goal is always to lower the temperature of the heat source.

2. Thermal conductive silicon film for heat dissipation in MOS tubes:

MOS transistor is a component that generates a large amount of heat in addition to the main power chip. If the heat dissipation effect of MOS transistor is poor and the temperature is too high, it may cause MOS transistor to burn out, which may lead to damage to the entire circuit board. Therefore, there are high requirements for its heat dissipation. The traditional heat dissipation solution is to use thermal conductive silicone film and thermal conductive silicone grease. Currently, it is also possible to choose to use ultra-thin high thermal conductive insulation film for isolation and then use thermal conductive silicone grease for heat dissipation. This can not only dissipate heat but also prevent static damage.
