Automotive electronic control unit, also known as driving computer, is a microcomputer controller specifically designed for automobiles. It consists of a microcomputer, input, output, and control circuits. Usually, electronic control units have fault self diagnosis, protection functions, and adaptive programs. With the improvement of automotive automation, the functions of electronic control units are becoming increasingly complex, and heat dissipation has gradually become one of the bottlenecks in the performance of automotive electronic control units. Automotive electronic control units typically require sealing. Due to long-term work in high-temperature environments, higher requirements are placed on the heat dissipation of electronic control unit circuit boards. Therefore, it is necessary to add thermal conductive silicone sheets to increase heat conduction.

 Thermal conductive silicone sheetThe selection is an important factor in the thermal design of electronic control units, usually with the following requirements:

1. In order to achieve heat transfer between the electronic control unit device and the heat sink, it is required that the thermal conductive material has an appropriate thermal conductivity.

2. The thermal pad fills the gap between the electronic control unit circuit and the heat sink, and it requires high voltage contraction to ensure that there is no air residue between the gaps. Therefore, under certain pressure conditions, it is required that the thermal conductive material has low thermal resistance characteristics and does not affect heat transfer.

3. As the core of automotive control systems, electronic control units require thermal conductive materials to meet automotive application temperature standards.
