Conductive rubber must withstand a certain amount of pressure to conduct electricity well. Conductive rubber sheets are mainly used in situations that require sealing or a particularly wide frequency range (up to 40GHz or more), and have excellent shielding performance, especially suitable for small and medium-sized electronic chassis and microwave waveguide systems. Decades of practice have shown that conductive rubber is a widely used conductive pad in electronic devices such as aviation, aerospace, and ships. Especially in harsh environments, any water tight rubber can be replaced with conductive rubber to achieve both environmental and electromagnetic sealing.

Conductive rubber strips generally need to be slotted for installation, and the size of the slot should ensure that the conductive rubber is not over pressurized and has appropriate pressure; The height compression of conductive rubber is within the specified range.
To achieve pressure sealing, conductive rubber strips need to form a closed loop, and molded conductive rubber ring products can be used. There are multiple specifications to choose from. If the size is not suitable and conductive rubber strips must be used for splicing, please note that this splicing work must be completed using specialized splicing materials and devices.
When conductive rubber needs to be fixed on a metal surface, silicone grease conductive adhesive can be used, which is a specialized adhesive used to bond conductive rubber to metal surfaces. Conductive adhesive can also be used for bonding between conductive rubber joints, but its strength is not high and it is not suitable for pressure sealing. The two metal joint surfaces in contact with conductive rubber must maintain high surface conductivity, and it is strictly prohibited to apply non-conductive coatings on the overlapping metal surfaces. For outdoor environments with aluminum chassis, aluminum conductive protective liquid can be used to prevent oxidation of the aluminum surface; For electronic chassis at sea or in harsh salt spray, conductive three proof paint can be applied on the overlapping metal surface or flange conductive protective tape can be used.
