PET transfer film

Transfer film, also known as thermal transfer film, is characterized by high tensile strength, good thermal stability, low thermal shrinkage rate, smooth surface, good peelability, and can be used repeatedly. It is mainly used as a carrier for vacuum aluminum plating, which involves placing PET film in a vacuum aluminum plating machine, coating it with adhesive and paper, and then peeling off the PET film. The aluminum molecular layer is transferred to the surface of the cardboard through adhesive action, forming the so-called aluminum plated cardboard.

The production process of aluminum coated cardboard is: PET base film → release layer → color layer → aluminum coating layer → adhesive layer → transfer to cardboard.

This aluminum plated cardboard has a bright color, strong metallic feel, and bright and elegant printed products. Both use aluminum coated PET film as the reflective layer, which is coated with pressure-sensitive adhesive. Several glass microspheres with a refractive index of 1.9 are adhered to the PET aluminum coated film, and then sprayed with a surface protective layer of butyraldehyde.

However, the corona method has issues with timeliness, especially in high temperature and high humidity environments, where the tension of the film after corona treatment is easily attenuated. However, the chemical coating method does not have such problems, so it is favored by the printing industry and aluminum plating industry. Domestic enterprises have developed a series of PET chemical coating products, such as water-soluble polymer coating, which can improve the surface tension of PET films; Coating with acrylate lotion can improve the adaptability of printing (water-soluble ink can be used); Coating with polyurethane aqueous solution can enhance the adhesion between the aluminum plating layer and the PET base film, and increase the thickness of the aluminum plating layer.

In addition, the coating method can also be used to produce high resistance films and anti-static films.

PET anti-static film

The world has entered the era of information technology, and electromagnetic waves of various frequencies and wavelengths fill the entire Earth's space. These electromagnetic waves can cause varying degrees of interference to unshielded sensitive electronic components, circuit boards, communication equipment, etc., resulting in data distortion and communication disorder. The static electricity generated by electromagnetic induction and friction can cause destructive effects on various sensitive components, instruments, and certain chemical products, such as high-voltage discharge due to the accumulation of static electricity in packaging films. Therefore, it is also important to develop anti-static PET packaging films. The characteristic of anti-static film is to add a certain anti-static agent to PET film, forming a very thin conductive layer on the surface of the film and forming a continuous phase, improving the surface conductivity and allowing the generated charges to leak as soon as possible. Generally, it is required that the surface specific resistance of the anti-static film be ≤ 10 ^ 9-11 ohms

PET heat sealing film

Ordinary PET belongs to crystalline polymers. After being stretched and oriented, PET film will produce a large degree of crystallization. If it is heat sealed, it will undergo shrinkage deformation, so ordinary PET film does not have heat sealing performance. When PET film is used for product packaging, in order to solve its heat sealing problem, the method of compounding BOPET film with PE film or CPP film is usually adopted, which to some extent limits the application of BOPET film.

In order to solve the heat sealing problem, a three-layer co extruded heat sealed PET film has been developed by modifying PET resin and using a mold with an A/B/C three-layer structure. This heat sealed PET film can be directly heat sealed due to one side being a heat sealable layer, making it very convenient to use. Heat sealed PET film can be widely used in various fields such as packaging and protective film for various products.

PET heat shrink film

Polyester heat shrink film is a new type of heat shrink packaging material. Due to its characteristics of easy recycling, non toxicity, odorlessness, good mechanical properties, and especially compliance with environmental protection, polyester (PET) has become an ideal substitute for polyvinyl chloride (PVC) heat shrink film in developed countries.

However, ordinary polyester is a crystalline polymer, and ordinary PET film can only achieve a thermal shrinkage rate of less than 30% after special processing. To obtain polyester films with higher thermal shrinkage, modification is also necessary. That is to say, in order to prepare polyester films with high thermal shrinkage, it is necessary to copolymerize and modify ordinary polyester, namely polyethylene terephthalate. The highest thermal shrinkage rate of PET film modified by copolymerization can reach over 70%.

The characteristics of heat shrinkable polyester film: it is stable at room temperature, shrinks when heated (above the glass transition temperature), and undergoes over 70% thermal shrinkage in one direction.
