The conductivity of aluminum is second only to silver and copper, but its density is only about 1/4 of silver, and it is inexpensive. However, the surface of aluminum powder is easily oxidized, and the conductivity of oxidized aluminum powder drops sharply, thus losing its advantage as a conductive filler. Silver coated aluminum powder is coated with a layer of silver on the surface of aluminum powder. The silver plating layer improves the oxidation resistance and conductivity of aluminum powder, while still having the characteristics of low aluminum density and light color. Therefore, silver coated aluminum powder has a broader market and usage value than pure silver powder and aluminum powder.
